Fashion photographer wanted for performance piece

I am an independent choreographer/movement+body artist. My latest project uses examples of fashion + fashion industry culture to consider the communication of clothing. I will be working with a fashion model and designer and am looking for a fashion photographer (and videographer if you have that talent as well) to take portfolio-quality photos of the work in progress and in performance (as well as at a designated shoot so that all involved have photos to use for professional gain).

Anatomy books and clothing patterns depict “the” universal body, relying on its uniformity to draw conclusions and dress lines. They offer the stability of a “known” human body, one that each of us can covet for our very own. Practitioners of bodywork and fashion, of course, know that the unique body requires adjustments of all sizes and provides little reliability. "Observing Me" emerges thus out of my recent experiences with injury/recovery and wardrobe adjustment to explore the communication of the body. Exposing in society a manufactured desire for corporeal uniformity, "Observing Me" posits the examination of the body as neither beautiful nor ugly, neither an object to be revered nor flesh to be admired, but an occasion of scientific irreproducibility. My process includes close observation and analysis (posted weekly online) of the movement, carriage, attire, and “body communication” of several different performers including myself (via video), a fashion model, and dancers with training ranging from casual to classical. The goal of my analysis is both moderately scientific and heavily cultural. I rely on basic principles of Laban movement analysis and documented “definitions” of expressions and gestures, while also continually asking myself what biases I bring to my own looking and thereby challenging my own leanings.
